Delicious Apple Crumble to welcome Fall!

This dessert has all things Fall! Apples, cinnamon sugar, buttery crunchy topping in a delicious warm mouthful that is certain to keep minds and tummies happy.

Here goes a simple Apple Crumble for single serving portions.

For Apple filling:

  • 1 Apple peeled, cut and cubed into about 1 inch sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder

For crumble:

  • 3.5-4 tbsp of all purpose flour/maida
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted salted butter (if using unsalted, add a pinch of salt to it)
  • 1.5 – 2 tbsp of rolled oats + nuts (piece of walnuts, pecans, almonds)

Putting it all together:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F/175C
  2. Toss the cut apple pieces in cinnamon and sugar mix
  3. Mix the APF with melted butter, sugar and oats+ nuts to make a clumpy topping
  4. Use 2 ramekins of about 5oz capacity each
  5. Divide the apple pieces between the two ramekins
  6. Layer on top with the crumble mixture
  7. Bake in the oven for about 30 mins or until the crumble looks beautifully golden brown

And enjoy every bite of it while warm! Added texture and taste if eaten with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
