I simply love Besan ke Ladoos, yeah OK maybe after Motichur… But love nevertheless! As I convince myself telling it’s gram flour so it’s more healthy.
So, whenever I came across the elaborate recipes on internet on how to make them I always used to lose heart thinking that I can’t bring myself to put so much effort. Well, blame my laziness for that.
But, it’s that very lazy me who thought of skipping some steps and going for shortcuts that made me zero upon this recipe. A simple and easy Besan ka ladoo which takes maximum 30 minutes to make (unless you are making for the entire city ofcourse!). So, thank my laziness for this and now let’s get started 😊.
Ingredients (Makes about 12 fist sized ladoos | time taken 30 min | Cup measure 100 gm) :
Besan or Gram Flour 2.5 cups
Cow Ghee 3/4th of a cup
Sugar 1 cup
Salt 1 pinch
Recipe:
1. Take the gram flour or besan in a pan and dry roast it on a medium-high flame. Keep stirring the flour from time to time so that it does not burn. The trick here is that you need to dry roast the besan till the entire kitchen becomes aromatic that’s when you know the besan is roasted right. This takes about 10 to 12 min for the quantity suggested in this recipe.
2. Once the besan is roasted add sugar and roast till the sugar melts and blends.
3. Now add the ghee. Add half of the ghee initially and mix well then add the other half adding few spoons at a time. Once the mix reaches a consistency which can be rolled into fist sized balls turn off the stove. Let it cool down completely.
4. Once the mixture cools down make fist sized balls and leave them in a plate open to air. Your simple and tasty besan Ladoos are now ready to relish 😊.
