You might think what’s there in Hakka noodles. Even I used to think so till I had the most amazing Hakka noodles made by one of my friend’s mom and then I realised that even this had tricks.
And from the time I got that simple recipe from her and have been making it everyone at home is now a fan of this Hakka noodles.
Ingredients (Serves 4 | total time taken 30 min or less):
– Long noodles 4 blocks
– 1 big onion
– 6 button mushrooms
– 1 capsicum
– Frozen peas about 50 gm
– 1/2 broccoli
– salt to taste
– 1 tsp oregano
– olive oil 3-4 tbsps
– soya sauce 6 tbsp
– vinegar 3 tbsp
– red hot chilli sauce 3 tbsp
Recipe :
1. Take a pan of water (such that the noodles dip fully). Add 1/2 tsp salt to the water. Once the water boils dip the noodle blocks. The noodles take about 8-10 min to cook fully.
Run the cooked noodles under cold water immediately after they get cooked. Add 1/2 tsp olive oil to the noodles and toss them well. This helps in keeping the noodles from sticking to each other.
2. Cut all the veggies into long strips (if you are lazy like me you can cut them into small cubes as well). Take another pan add olive oil about 3 tbsps and stir fry the veggies.
3. Add salt and oregano.
4. Add the cooked noodles to the veggies.
5. Add all the sauces and mix well.
6. Sprinkle little olive oil before serving.
