This is one bread toast or should I say Indian pizza toast (without any need of cheese!) that comes super handy when you have surprise guests at home or when you just crave for something good and healthy. An easy to make bread toast that is sure to appeal to your taste buds and a healthy one too. What more can we ask for isn’t it! It can even serve as a good tiffin box item. So let’s get started on the recipe 😊.
Ingredients (Total time taken 15 – 20 min to serve 4) :
– Bread slices (brown bread or white bread) to toast
For the paste mix
– Curd 100 ml
– salt to taste
– kosher salt to taste
– 1.5 tsp chat masala powder
– 1 tsp black pepper powder
– 1 tsp red chilli powder
– 1/2 a medium sized onion cut to small pieces
– 1/2 a carrot cut to small pieces
– 3-4 button mushrooms cut to small pieces
– 1 green chilli cut to small pieces
– 1.5 tbsp coriander leaves
– 150 gm Rava or coarse Suji
Recipe:
1. Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients to form a jam like consistency paste. Adjust the spices as per your taste. Adjust curd + rava proportions if the paste mix becomes runny or thin. You can also add more veggies or reduce the veggies as per availability.
2. Take 1 tsp oil in a pan and place one bread slice at a time. Toast the bread on both sides for less than a minute.
3. Apply the paste mix with the help of a spoon on one side of the bread generously. Turn the bread slice such that the paste applied side faces the pan and toast for 2 min on a medium-high flame. Check if the side is cooked/toasted and remove the slice from the pan onto a plate.
Repeat the steps for other bread slices. Cut the bread slices into two triangles and serve them warm.
